Studies have proven that exercise increases the natural level or endorphins (feel good chemicals) in our brains. It also helps us lose weight, maintain muscle tone and keep an active lifestyle. As you might have noticed, I do enjoy my food, but Beach Fitness allows me the freedom to have more choices in my diet and still maintain a good weight.
Crossfit isn’t just about moving weights, it is “constantly varied, functional movements performed at high intensity.” This means in many cases, you are moving your body, performing Olympic lifts with free weights and even some gymnastic motions. The first time I did the class, I thought the warm up was the workout! Just wait until you get into the “Workout of the Day” or WOD.
You will find yourself addicted to getting your Crossfit on first thing. It may kick me around, but I am amazed at the new-found energy I have throughout the day. Tasks which used to wind me, now just seem a breeze. My stress level, though I am doing more than ever before, has never been lower. Best of all, it is just three days a week.
