I could tell you stories about the Seal Beach Pier bathrooms, but if you’ve ever visited them you probably already know what I’m referring to. Last week as my wife and I walked through the beach parking lot on our daily walk, I noticed the caution tape and construction fencing surrounding the bathrooms. My first reaction was “what could have possibly gone wrong in there now”, but upon closer examination it appears the city is actually remodeling them.
I haven’t found any information on the City’s website to substantiate my observation, but god help me if they don’t do something soon to fix the bathrooms. I can only imagine the experience that visitors have after leisurely strolling up our quaint Seal Beach Main Street, stopping at the foot of the pier and taking in the view and refreshing ocean breezes then heading down the breezeway. The retro bathroom’s stainless steel exterior sparkles in the sun inviting the weary visitor in for a break, and then… well I’ll let your imagination complete the “pre-remodel” experience as to spare any new blog readers the fate that locals have suffered year-in and year-out.
