Temecula Olive Oil opened their Seal Beach tasting room recently, tempting passersby with a free tasting of the their delightful oils and vinegar. After hearing several locals rave reviews, describing it as a “party in your mouth” my wife and I had top stop in the Temecula Olive oil tasting room. We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to see for our self if all this hype was true (especially being foodies).
Temecula Olive Oil’s Seal Beach tasting room is located at 148 C Main Street in the same building as Javatini’s and Z Pizza. You can usually spot a table out on the sidewalk covered in small plastic ramekins with a taste of any number of their cold pressed olive oil’s. Flavors of oil range from basil to roasted garlic and traditional, with flavored vinegars to compliment the experience.
My wife and I choose the roasted garlic reserve late harvest with the hatch chili white balsamic vinegar as our take home combo. A warning to those who don’t tolerate spicy, the hatch chili is SPICY! A note worthy of mention is that the tasting is conducted without any bread, so you are literally sipping these oils and vinegars directly into your mouth. All in all we had a very pleasant experience and have enjoyed cooking and pairing our new oil and vinegars with our everyday meals.
