Sure, this blog post may be more relevant to the summer months when our little beach town offers the fairest weather. But after several weeks of beautiful January weather, it made me think about how great vacationing in Seal Beach can be during the “winter” months (if you consider bathing suit weather as the winter). So on a recent walk across town I began thinking about what activities locals enjoy that we could share with people visiting Seal Beach on vacation.
It seems pretty obvious by looking at these pictures, but sometimes the best activity for those vacationing in Seal Beach is the absence of activity. It was apparent on my walk that most of the locals seem to enjoy sitting, reading or resting quietly and taking advantage of the pre-season beach weather. Even the younger kids were taking in the sun by playing volleyball with friends.
As a bonus to those that live and vacation in Seal Beach during the winter months, we’re frequently treated to amazing views of Catalina Island and Palos Verdes followed by spectacular sunsets. For my loyal blog readers I pose this question… What is your favorite winter activity to do in Seal Beach? Share your favorite activities below in the comments section.
